1 | Purpose of Position | ||||
To support the development of a machine learning model that leverages computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results and create a user-friendly dashboard for the digital twin of a an urban area. The position will involve working with data, developing predictive models, and enhancing the digital representation of area for performance monitoring and analysis. | |||||
2 | Functions/Duties (Key Responsibilities) | ||||
The key responsibilities selected RA will include:
· Develop and implement machine-learning algorithms based on CFD data to predict environmental factors across the area. · Design and develop an interactive dashboard to visualize CFD results and real-time data for the digital twin. · Collaborate with team members to integrate diverse data sources into the digital twin model, ensuring accurate and dynamic campus representation. · Document project progress, code, and methodologies for reproducibility and knowledge sharing. · Conduct performance evaluations of the developed model, refine it as needed, and generate insights. |

Essential | |||||
Qualifications | · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
· Strong foundation in machine learning and data science principles, particularly in applying models to environmental or engineering datasets. · Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) concepts and applications. |

Experience | · Proven experience in developing machine learning models, preferably using environmental or spatial data.
· Hands-on experience with dashboard development tools or platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, custom web dashboards). · Familiarity with digital twin concepts and related technologies is a plus. Experience with data visualization and UX design for user interfaces is advantageous |

Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities/ Competencies |
Skills and Knowledge:
· Proficient in Python or similar languages, with strong knowledge of machine learning libraries · Familiarity with CFD tools and simulation data interpretation. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. · Strong analytical skills with a focus on creating actionable insights from complex datasets. · Effective communication skills, especially in presenting technical data and findings. |
