Advanced Integrated Energy Lab
At AIEL, we investigate the energy–water–climate–sustainability nexus, especially in conetxt of Pakistan. Our mission is to lead transformative research that integrates interdisciplinary innovations in renewable energy, advanced water/wastewater treatment, and resilient urban and rural systems. By addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, resource security, and sustainable development, we aim to generate solutions that are both locally relevant and globally significant.
AIEL aims to conduct research on integrated energy systems. The lab envisions to:
- Facilitate students/faculty in designing, simulating, developing, and testing hybrid energy prototypes to ensure energy-efficient and economic performance levels to combat growing energy concerns.
- Promote field testing to determine the practicality of designed prototypes.
- Establish collaborations with other SINES laboratories to boost multidisciplinary research.
- Capacity building in the field of integrated energy systems and solutions.
