Dr. Ahmad Mahmood holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Yamanashi, Kofu, Japan, and an MS in Agriculture from Ankara University, Türkiye, and the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He has over three years of experience as an Assistant Professor of Climate and Environmental Sciences before joining NUST. His research focuses on applied topics in environmental, climatic, and agricultural sciences. Key areas of interest include the remediation of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), pesticide fate and monitoring (including ecological risks), antimicrobial resistance, wastewater management, biological solutions for meeting plant needs, sustainable agriculture, air quality and smog issues, indigenous climate knowledge and solutions, and organic waste utilization.
