Dr. Syeda Irsa Mazhar Kazmi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences (SINES), NUST, H-12 Campus. She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from International Islamic University Islamabad and has had the privilege of working at the Department of Environmental Engineering, University of Florida, USA, as part of her international research experience. With over 10 years of teaching experience and 4 years of research experience at both national and international levels, Dr. Kazmi has established herself as a seasoned expert in her field. Her research has been published in reputable international journals, garnering a total impact factor of 24.86. She has also presented her work in International Conference on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. Dr. Kazmi's research interests include: Nanofibers fabrication through electrospinning technique, Nanomaterials synthesis for catalysis, Nano filters fabrication for air pollution control, Antimicrobial nanotextiles. Nanoencapsulation for Climate resilient agriculture and waste valorization, Life cycle assessment (LCA), Social Inclusion and climatic policy making. Dr. Irsa also introduce lab scale cost effective electrospinning technique and air filters efficiency measurement stytem at NILOP, PAEC, Islamabad and Dr. Kazmi is passionate about mentoring students and collaborating with colleagues to advance knowledge in Climate change science and nanotechnology. Her goal is to contribute meaningfully to the scientific community and develop innovative solutions for real-world environmental challenges. She is also currently serving as the Focal person of Freshmen Orientation,SINES, NUST, Coordinatior Interdisciplinary Environment Research Group and Committee member of Nust Research project progress evalution Team and Policy making Team member of NUST Stray Animal committee.
