System on Chip Lab

SoC Lab. focuses on designing artful architectures for next-generation intelligent systems such as those based on deep neural networks with emphasis on reliability, security and high performance. If you are passionate about designing next-generation computing platforms that are efficient, reliable and secure, you can be part of SoC research lab. 

PI’s Profile:

Dr. Muhammad Imran 

Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the College of Information and Communication Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Suwon, South Korea in 2020. 

He received his BE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sciences and Technology (UET), Lahore in 2012. His PhD research was focused on design of reliable computing architectures for emerging memory technologies. He received superior research award at Sungkyunkwan University in Fall 2019. He is also recipient of HEC faculty development scholarship program for MS-PhD.

  1. Development of high-speed encryption IP for smart network interface cards
  2. Development of Vector Processors for AI applications
  3. Development of general-purpose application-class microprocessor based on RISC-V ISA
